The power requirements in test systems are often high price and still contribute noise and/or fail to respond as per the in service environment. e.g. battery supply when a transmission takes place. Linear PSU modules remove the rack noise caused by switch modes and 4 wire supplies ensure that the delivery is controlled at the UUT. In addition programmable rise times are used to provide the performance match. Modular units are available to provide power at the UUT.
QM Systems has a range of PSU designs that can be integrated to form application specific solutions.
Supplies are rated for continuous output of 2 amps per rail with fold-back overload protection at 5 amps. Up to 3 amps can be supplied on any one rail if the other rails are not fully loaded, to a total of 200 watts per section. Input selections for models currently in the field are: 100 - 110 - 200 - 220 -240 volts AC 50/60 Hz.
Units from June 98 have been shipped with the new UK mains voltage of 230v.
